Kate K. The shoes I purchased less than a year ago are black, patent leather pumps. They developed creases in the toe box within a few months, even with use of shoe trees and minimal use each week. The caps on the bottom of the pumps have come off, revealing the metal.

I have sent the shoes to the cobbler and the repair only lasted 2 weeks before the metal showed again. My other pair of shoes are Varina flats and, unless you walk outside without the risk of anything getting on your shoes, the bow will get dirty within a few months, even with gentle use and use of a cloth bag for storage. I contacted corporate customer service and the wallet is irreparable and was not offered to be replaced.

As for the shoes they said they could recommend an authorized repairer. Not the customer service I would expect for having spent so much money on these products and having them fall apart in such a short amount of time. He said that he was going on a week vacation but we could bring the shoes in and speak to the manager of the store. We did so later that day, to which Megan the « manager» told us that she spoke to Jason and he said that there was NOTHING they could do to help and reimbursed us for the cost of the repair.

We asked for a fresh pair of shoes: No. We asked to be reimbursed for the initial purchase: No. We asked if they could offer us ANY other solutions — None. After having left the store disheartened, my husband and I were back to square one. Carmen Maduro could not be more helpful. She asked me to send the shoes in and sent us a fresh pair to replace the clicking shoes!

What a doll. Truthfully, if it were not for Carmen — I would have lost complete faith in this experience based on poor customer service. When you work in an industry where wearing luxury brands are a must we will be reconsidering ever buying a Ferragamo product again thanks to Jason and Megan.

They were offered helpful advice and recommended some other products to help me match the shoes. I also made a visit to the Prada store on Oak. Although I liked the products there, the level of service was just not comparable. There was no personal touch at Prada — sales reps dropped generic comments and appeared a lot less enthusiastic. Great place for mens leather goods and shoes.
