Well, right after getting into it -- actually, I was just setting up -- and Bonnie Guitar and Bob Reisdorff came in to do a demo with somebody and they liked the sound that I got 'em. Then Bonnie liked the sound I got on her voice. And then they tried the Fleetwoods. You know, Bob and Bonnie kinda taught me recording as it were: you know, what they were looking for.
I mean, I was teaching myself how to record these groups -- but I'd really never done that much. My first real exposure to rock 'n' roll was when I got in the recording business cause I'd been working in a radio station doing [laughter] classical " Blecha interview, Bob Reisdorff partnered with Bonnie Guitar in the latter part of , forming the new Dolton Records company, which scored an international smash hit in early with its debut release, "Come Softly To Me," by the Olympia-based doo-wop teen trio, the Fleetwoods.
That session, however, actually took place across town at Joe Boles's Custom Recorders in West Seattle -- as did the label's next couple hits as recorded by their next assignees, the Seattle combo the Frantics, and Tacoma's rockin' ringleaders, Little Bill and the Bluenotes. Among the first to book studio time was Everett's doo-wop group, the Shades, who brought along a freelancing engineer, Glenn White Jr. In original members of Moby Grape , Lewis, Miller, Mosley, and Stevenson re-united and held a concert that was recorded and released as Moby Grape: The band attempted on several occasions to reunite Moby Grape with a series of new members.
Their attempts would not be realized until at least a decade later, with all but two original members-both of them original members of The Frantics, Jerry Miller and Don Stevenson. In the ensuing decades Miller and Stevenson have spent time spreading the gospel of The Frantics , as well as resting on their laurels as members of Moby Grape. They have re-popularized a band that may have only been a footnote in music history without them.
In a very real way, Moby Grape would not have existed if it was not for their earlier work. In The Frantics took part in a reunion at the Seattle Center. Here is a partial list of the aftermath of those who were associated with The Frantics and Moby Grape.

Bob Hosko went on to become a founding member of Jr. Cadillac but left after Jon Keliehor re turned to Seattle, recuperated from his auto accident and went on to be a founding member of The Daily Flash.
Later he moved to the UK and now produces and records under his own name and leads music workshops in Glasgow, Scotland. His musical interests have evolved into exploration of esoteric, experimental and world music. The music Celestial Nile initiated collaborative works for Venezuelan dancers and company, Danzahoy , and resulted in the development of his current catalogue of recordings.

Joel has scored over films and television programs that have received 5 Oscar nominations, 20 Emmy awards and over 30 Emmy nominations. Bob Mosely suffered from schizophrenia and ended up living on the streets until former Moby Grape members got him back to work and able to support himself.
Despite his circumstances Mosely was able to continue writing and recording. He has released five solo albums since his time in Moby Grape. His most recent solo release is True Blue released on the Taxim label in Skip Spence died of lung cancer on April 16 , just days short of his 53 rd birthday. After his dismissal from Moby Grape Spence spent much of his life institutionalized due to his schizophrenia and the ravages of years of addiction to heroin, cocaine and alcohol.

My father Terry Wadsworth was the co-writer of No Werewolf. Johansen, like so many musicians of his day, was stoned most of the time. Johansen sold his guitar and moved to Spokane where he became a drug and alcohol counselor. He was befriended here by Robert Browning, a Northwest rock historian who recognized Johansen on the street one day. It was Browning who bought Johansen a new guitar and encouraged him to play again.
