New york bubba gump shrimp

My future mother in law recommended Bubba Gump's to me. She said I must eat there if I ever get the chance. She said her waiter was funny, and loved the whole dining experience. My best friend from grade school was with me so we were game for anything. Everything was great except for our waitress.

She was non-emotional, straight faced, soft spoken, and NO eye contact whatsoever. Because of this, I have to say it ruined my experience. Will I eat there again? I was saddened by looking around where our table was and other people had funny waiters or waitresses. Not saying I need that kind of attention, it just makes your dining experience a little more pleasurable.

It was a min-vacation so we wanted to have a good time. Two pre-teen kids ask for a fun dining experience. Two foodie adults who couldn't satisfy the request outside of Times Square. So the four of us went knowing that it would be fun even if the odds on the food were iffy. We were pleasantly surprised that the food was good the appetizer sampler was great and the atmosphere was really cheerful without being cheesy.

The concept and movie memorabilia made us smile and all the wait staff was really cheerful. Absolutely one of the best birthday cake presentations! I was visiting from out of town with my family and had heard about Bubba Gump and had always been a fan of the movie.

Unfortunately, the restaurant was nowhere near my expectations. Upon arriving at Bubba's I was greeted by a less than enthusiastic host. This did not set me off since it was busy since I had to wait over an hour. The worse part of the wait was the fact that I was originally told that I would only wait for 30 minutes.

My name wasn't called until over an hour later. Once my name was called I was sent upstairs only to wait in another line to get a table, it was worse than the lines at Disney World. Finally when seated my server took my families order. The food took forever to get out of the kitchen and on top of that my husband's steak was supposed to be medium rare but it came out burnt and past well done. My food was cold and I never recommend getting the Chipolte Shrimp I had a stomache ache shortly after eating the dish.

The manager came to talk to us to see how everything was going and we told her about our problems with the food. She acted very professional and tried to resolve the issues of the food. However, from a far the manager seemed to act unprofessional and seemed not to pay attention that there were customers around while she goofed of with the other servers and managers.

As a whole it was a dampening experience on my family vacation to New York. I have to give Bubba Gump credit I had family in from out of town and wanted to do the TS thing I wasn't too psyched about it, but I must admit it was pretty good. If you have to be in Times Square, I recommend getting a seat on the second floor and people watch.
