It is worrying to see pple not working hard enough for the concert, though many said that everything would just be ok on the concert day. Time is running out. We have expectations to meet. Our own expectations. Would we be able to come together as one and make 28th March a memorable night for everyone? When we play on the stage of Esplanade, who are we dedicating the pieces to? To our batch mates who had been thru thick n thin?

To our juniors who have joined us and will continue with the legacy of this band? It is a honour, not a given, to be able to perform in Esplanade. It is a fortune to perform with the bands of the SA family. Very few bands in Singapore are able to have a family concert like us. Let's make 28th March a SA night, a night which everyone will remember fondly in years to come, a night which ends our band journey on a beautiful musical note.

Benjamin Yeo born is a Singaporean composer and conductor who is notable internationally for his original wind band works. He is currently the deputy dean of music at Anglo-Chinese School Independent. His music education started at the age of 7 and he played the trumpet in his secondary school and junior college. Being very active in the local band scene, he has guest-performed for many tertiary groups as well as guest-conducted many ensembles in Singapore. His experience in band directing has enabled him to work with students across a wide spectrum of educational institutions — from primary to tertiary levels.

As a band enthusiast, he started writing and arranging music for wind bands and ensembles at the age of 15, and his works have also been performed publicly in local and overseas concerts. Benjamin has also been invited to serve as an adjudicator for events such as the Junior Band Festival in Singapore.

Many of his music has been published by C. Barnhouse Company, [1] a famous and long-lasting American publisher of band music in the world; as well as Beriato Music Belgium , [2] a reputable publishing house in Europe. As an active and a well sought-after published composer, he writes for both commissioned and non-commissioned works.
